This month's featured seasonal item is fresh Great Lakes Walleye. Walleye is a very lean freshwater fish with a fine-flaked but firm texture, a subtle, mildly sweet flavor. It is widely regarded as the best-tasting freshwater fish. Walleye is great fried, baked, or pan-seared.
The City Sampler includes one pound of fresh Great Lakes Walleye this month.
