Ingredients:

  • 2 whole trout, cleaned and gutted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, or parsley)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Trout:
    • Rinse the trout under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
    • Place the trout on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  3. Seasoning:
    • Rub olive oil all over the trout, inside and out.
    • Season the inside cavity with salt and pepper.
    • Stuff the cavity with minced garlic, lemon slices, and fresh herbs.
  4. Baking:
    • Place the trout in the preheated oven.
    • Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
    • Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the trout.
  5. Serve:
    • Carefully transfer the baked trout to a serving platter.
    • Garnish with additional fresh herbs and lemon slices if desired.
    • Serve hot, and enjoy!
