Why should I order from City Seafood?

City Seafood delivers premium, restaurant-quality seafood straight to your home with easy online ordering, free local delivery, and flexible pickup options — all designed to make enjoying fresh fish and shellfish effortless.

Our seafood is hand-selected for freshness and quality, with a wide variety you won’t find at typical grocery stores, and every order is handled with care from order to delivery.  Whether you’re planning a family dinner or a special event, City Seafood brings the ocean’s best flavors right to your table.

 

What kind of fish and seafood can I buy?

City Seafood offers a wide variety of fish and seafood, including fresh fish fillets, shellfish, shrimp, crab, lobster, scallops, and specialty items. Most of our products are fresh.  There are a few products where freezing is fresher, but whether it’s fresh or frozen, we get it dock to door asap.  We also provide curated seafood boxes and custom bundles so you can mix and match your favorite products for meals or special occasions.

How long have you been in business?

We opened our doors in 2023.  Building on decades of seafood expertise from our predecessor, Bob’s Seafood, City Seafood proudly serves the Saint Louis metro and surrounding areas.  We leverage deep experience in the seafood industry offering an expanded menu, premium seafood, online ordering, and free local delivery or optional pickup to our retail and wholesale customers across the region.

 

How do I place an order?  

From our website at www.cityseafoodstl.com, click the “Order Now” button.  Find a product, adjust the quantity using the plus (+) and minus (–) buttons, click the “Add to Cart” button, and repeat until you build your custom box.  The cart total appears at the bottom of the screen.

Once you’ve built your custom box, simply click the “Go to Cart” button at the bottom of the screen to review your order and complete your purchase.

 

Is there a minimum order amount?

There is no minimum order amount for pickup.  A $100 minimum order amount is required to qualify for delivery, and our concierge delivery service is free.

 

If I request pickup, where are you located?

We are located in Fenton, Missouri, just south of the intersection of Highway 270 and 44.  Our address is 1722 Chase Drive, Fenton, MO 63026.  When you arrive, simply walk in or call our main line at 636-600-0315.  We will bring your order to your car.

 

How do you ensure my product will be delivered fresh?

Every order is carefully packaged, insulated, and kept on ice so your seafood arrives fresh right to your door. Depending on when you order (e.g., same-day delivery for orders before noon), we’ll deliver your seafood with our complimentary concierge service  — or you can choose to pick up your order at our Fenton location if you prefer.  We are located at 1722 Chase Drive, Fenton, MO 63026.  When you arrive, simply walk in or call our main line at 636-600-0315.  We will bring your order to your car.

 

Do you have a seafood counter?

City Seafood does not currently operate a traditional walk-up seafood counter like you’d find in a grocery store.  Our business is focused on online ordering, and we offer free delivery to customers in the Saint Louis metro and surrounding areas. 

If you would like to meet our staff or pick up your order, we are happy to see you during walk in hours.  Simply place your order online, choose pickup at checkout, select your preferred pickup time, and then swing by to pick up your order in person.  When you arrive for your scheduled pickup, simply walk in or call our main line at 636-600-0315.  We will bring your order to your car.

 

Am I in your delivery area?

City Seafood currently delivers within a roughly 32‑mile radius of our Fenton, MO location. This includes many municipalities such as Fenton, Chesterfield, Ballwin, Ellisville, Wildwood, Eureka, Arnold, Valley Park, Manchester, Kirkwood, Webster Groves, Clayton, Richmond Heights, parts of St. Louis City, Maryland Heights, Ladue, Creve Coeur, Sunset Hills, and Affton.


Because delivery eligibility depends on your exact address, we recommend checking your ZIP code on our website at checkout to confirm delivery availability.

Is your fish and seafood farm raised or wild caught?

At City Seafood, we offer both wild-caught and responsibly farm-raised seafood.  This depends on the product. The source varies because some species, like certain types of salmon or shrimp, may be fresher, more sustainable, or seasonally available from farms, while others, like Alaskan cod or sushi grade tuna, are best enjoyed wild-caught. You can check each product on our website to see exactly how it’s sourced.  From the Order Now page, simply click on the item to view details about it.  The description will explain whether it’s wild or farm raised. 

 

Where do you source your seafood?

City Seafood sources its products from trusted purveyors across the U.S. and beyond, including regions known for high-quality seafood such as Alaska, Louisiana, the Mediterranean, and other coastal areas. We focus on selecting seafood that is fresh, responsibly sourced, and restaurant-quality, ensuring the same high standards used by top chefs in the St. Louis area are offered to our retail customers. You can also view sourcing details for individual products directly on our website when browsing each item.

 

What are your hours of operation?

Local deliveries are available Monday through Friday from 3PM to 6PM.
If you prefer pick up, store hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 4PM and Saturday from 8AM to noon.

Hours may vary by season, so be sure to verify delivery / pickup times at checkout.

 

How do I store and cook my fish?

To keep your fish tasting its best, start with proper storage. When your fish arrives, unpack it right away and place it in the coldest part of your refrigerator.  Keep seafood cold and dry, avoid letting it sit in excess moisture, and use it within a day or two of delivery for peak freshness. If you won’t cook it within that time, wrap it tightly and freeze it for later.

When you’re ready to cook, choose a method that best highlights the type of fish you have — grilling, baking, pan-searing, or steaming all work great depending on the cut and flavor profile. Light seasoning, proper heat, and not overcooking are key to delicious results.

Do you offer gift cards, and how do they work?

YesCity Seafood offers gift cards, and we offer them in a variety of amounts right on our site.  They can be used toward buying seafood, spices, merch, and custom bundles.

  • To purchase: Add the gift card to your cart just like any other product.  You'll find them on our Order Now page under "Swag and Gift Cards."

  • After purchase: You will receive an email that has your unique gift card number on it.  Print or forward the email, or, for an extra personal touch, write in in a card for the recipient.

  • Redeem at checkout: When the recipient is ready to shop, they simply apply the gift card at checkout to reduce the order total.  Gift cards can be reused until the gift card amount is depleted in full.
